Altar Server

The Altar Server ministry is for boys and girls, 4th grade and up.  In addition to serving at Masses, they assist Father in the preparation and clean-up of the church before and after Masses.  Please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to the start of Mass and sign in on the Ministry sign-in board.

The Greeter ministry is simply being present at the entrance to welcome people as they arrive for Mass. We ask that you offer a warm hand shake or just a friendly greeting, whatever you feel comfortable doing in welcoming our worshiping family

Liturgical Art/Environment

Those who are involved with the art/environment will work and plan with the Pastor how to best prepare and decorate the church for the different liturgical seasons.

Liturgy Planning Committee

This group meets to review the upcoming liturgical readings and then chooses music to compliment the readings for the upcoming celebrations of Mass. In the near future, some additional duties may be assigned in planning special Masses or occasions at church.

Music Ministry

Our music ministry offers a great opportunity for giving of time and talent through the sharing of your gift of music. Instrumentalists, especially guitarists and pianists, are needed to enhance the celebration of Mass and are scheduled to play on a rotation basis. Vocalists might want to consider cantoring, which includes leading the hymns and acclamations, singing the psalms at Mass. Adult choir practices are on Wednesday evenings at 6:30pm.

Youth choir practices are on Sunday mornings at 9:00am. There is no specific age range for the youth choir, but your student must be able to read and conduct themselves in an appropriate manner though Mass. There are no practices scheduled during the summer months.

Offertory Gifts

Members of the parish are welcome to take part in the Mass by bringing the gifts of bread and wine to the altar during our celebrations of the Eucharist. Each week a different family or group of volunteers takes part in this ministry. If you are scheduled to take up the gifts, please sign the Ministry sign-in board.

The Lector ministry involves proclaiming the Word of God during Mass and during special occasions such as Holy Week. Two lectors are assigned for each Mass. A Workbook for Lectors and Gospel Readers is available on the ministry table outside the sacristy. Please take one home with you before you lector and prepare both readings. No previous experience is needed, however, some training is required. Please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to the start of Mass and sign in on the Ministry sign-in board.

Coordinator: Stephanie Espinoza

The Ushers are responsible for seating parishioners, passing collection baskets, handing out bulletins, replacing and straightening hymnals, checking seat rows after Mass to pick up any items left behind, and securing the offertory collection. Please check that the double doors by the cry room are tightly secured and the cry room light is turned off after Mass. Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the start of Mass and sign in on the Ministry sign-in board. You will also need to verify that the Offertory Ministry is covered or locate a replacement family.

The Sacristan assists in the sacristy, placing items out where they may be needed and in arranging items before and after the liturgy.

Prayer Line

Members of the Prayer Line ministry are given the opportunity to pray for those in need. Individual and/or parish requests are communicated to members of the group by telephone or e-mail. When information is received via telephone, we begin praying immediately, with no visiting, so the flow of our intercessory prayer is heard by God. If participating via e-mail, open, read, and pray for the intention. Once a prayer intention is requested, we continue to pray for the person’s intention. Any parishioner is welcome to make requests (confidentiality is maintained, if requested) and/or become a part of this ministry.

Exposition of the Eucharist

Exposition is from 11:00am Sunday to 10:00am. Saturday. This is an hour a week where you can refresh your soul by praying in the Presence of Jesus. Anytime we spend before our Lord Jesus in prayer, we receive abundant grace for our families and Church. Would you watch for just one hour?

Children's Liturgy

Adults are needed to instruct children ages 4-7 in the Liturgy of the Word every Sunday during the 10:00am Mass. The Children are dismissed to discuss the Gospel, on their own terms, during the homily. They are brought back to the church in time for the Liturgy of the Eucharist.
